Ras el Hanout

A recipe for how to make Ras el Hanout, a Moroccan spice mix that’s warming and fragrant featuring cinnamon, cumin, ginger, and allspice.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin

  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander

  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk together until well combined.

  • Store in an airtight jar or container for up to 1 year for best results. Use to season roasted vegetables, chicken, soups and stews, and other Moroccan-inspired recipes.
