Maryland Crab Cakes
These crab cakes are done Maryland-style, but are very healthy as they are low caloric density. This recipe was originally taken from the “Noom” database.
Ingredients
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 celery rib, finely chopped
1 egg white
2 tablespoons chopped Italian Parsley
2 tablespoons fat-free mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoon crab boil seasoning
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 pound lump crab meat
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
2 Roasted Red Peppers
1/2 cup Fat-Free Mayonnaise
Fresh Black Pepper
Directions
Puree the roasted red peppers in a food processor or blender.
Add the mayonnaise and black pepper and process briefly to combine. Set aside for later.
Add the onion and celery and cook for 5 minutes, or until soft. Place in a large bowl.
Add the lemon juice, egg whites, mayo, parsley, crab boil season, dry mustard, and paprika. Stir well.
Add the crab meat and mix throughly.
Form into 8 patties. Roll in bread crumbs to coat completely.
Air Fry patties at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
Gently turn patties over and airfry another 5 minutes until crispy brown.
