
Chicken Paprikash

Directions
1 batch Chicken Paprikash
1 batch Dumplings
Chicken Paprikash Sauce
Ingredients
1 Onion chopped
1 Tbsp oil
2 Tbsp Paprika (Hungarian works best)
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
4-5 lbs chicken
2 1⁄2 cups water
16 oz sour cream
1 box dumplings (or see recipe)
Directions
Brown onion in oil
Add seasoning and chicken; Brown for 10 minutes
Add water and cover. Let simmer slowly until chicken is tender
Remove chicken. Add sour cream to drippings in pan and mix well. Add dumplings.
Serve chicken on top
Dumplings (Nokedli)
Ingredients
3 beaten eggs
3 cups flour
3 tbsp sour cream
1/2 cup water
Directions
Mix all ingredients together and beat with a spoon
Drop batter by teaspoonful into boiling, salted water
Cook for 10 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water
